Jack Ooze

Yesterday I found myself trawling through my countrymen's blogs and happened to settle upon a certain Jacques Rene' Zammit's weblog entitled J'ACCUSE (akkuza.blogspot.com). I'm still not entirely sure what it was I was replying to (need to check again), but, anyhow, I ended up making the acquaintance of many fine, upstanding gentlemen (and a lady?), namely Jacques himself, Arcibald, Bertu tal-angli, Antoine Cassar and wwwitchie. I recommend their blogs to all and sundry and, once I get the hang of how to post links, I'll be listing these and others on this page. For all its worth. Very nice to have met you , people, and hope that there'll be many other opportunities to resume whatever it was that we were on about. I'm getting to like this blog thing. I think.

Issa the thing to do is to learn how to link our names to our sites so people can click on the links *grin* Because otherwise how do you want them to find us eh? :) Great to have you here Hazevi. The Maltese blogosphere is widening its net.

Hi Hazevi, welcome to the bloggosfera. Since I am currently in the throes of html editing, I thought I'd send some linking info your way...

To edit the link list on your blog Blogger have written a guide just for that :-) and it's here.

To link to someone's website from within one of your posts. Let's take your own blog for example. You would use:

{a href="http://hazevi.blogspot.com"}Hazevi's blog{/a} only where I've used curly brackets "{" and "}" you should use pointed ones, that are on the "," and "." keys.

The result would be Hazevi's Blog.

If you accidentally leave out even one of the characters like a quote mark or the slash, the result will be a mess (happens to me all the time) so if your post looks like something weird has happened, go back and check any links that you may have included in it. You can write as much as you like between the {a} and {/a} tags.

If you want to link to a particular post in a blog, first you have to find the link (permanent link or permalink) to just that post. Usually you can get it by clicking on the time underneath that post. Doing that on this post shows that the link is http://hazevi.blogspot.com/2005/06/jack-ooze.html so we get

{a href="http://hazevi.blogspot.com/2005/06/jack-ooze.html"}this is the post titled Jack Ooze{/a}

this is the post titled Jack Ooze

erm. I use a button which looks like a world with a link on it when typing in the Create Blog post. You first highlight the word you want to link to then enter the url (which purportedly means the address you want to link to) in the window that pops up and press enter. Easy peasy.

thanks for the mention... adding you to my blogroll shortly.

Jekk dik il-konvinzjoni morali hija tassew iffundata fuq il-fatti... li m'inix qed neskludi... Irridu mmorru ferm u ferm il-boghod fiz-zmien ghax jidhirli li l-ahhar darba li qattajt saghtejn niehdu f'ghajni fost il-paguni u x-xadini f'dawk l-inhawi kien... bejn wiehed u iehor mat-13-il sena ilu (jekk mhux aktar!). F'dan l-ambitu, u fid-dawl ta' dawn il-fatti nkonfutibbli... Ghadha validi l-konvinzjoni morali? :)
